Building a portfolio for an artist always guarantees an abundance of exciting ideas. As a web designer, it is imperative that I have the ability to take my clients ideas + bring them to fruition. Both art + design benefit from expressing emotions + telling stories. In fact, one could argue that this is the purpose of art. But it’s far from the purpose of design. For designers, this is merely one tool to help achieve a specific goal.

The multidisciplinarity arsenal of Caspar’s work inspired the homepage to effectively be a menu of each category. After defining the site map we used ephemeral objects that represent each field respectively + filmed them rotating by the power of a motor. This footage was then compressed + edited to have an absolute white background so we could impose these elements on a webpage. Using interactive javascript functions which are influenced by the user’s mouse position on the x-axis, the velocity is relative to the values taken.
This website utilises Kirby which is the preferred content management system (CMS) for Mango Media.
I’ve partnered with Ruroc to present their snowboarding and ski helmet collection in a fully immersive and interactive way. This page features a 3D point-of-view experience that allows users to fly through majestic mountain landscapes, giving them a sense of adventure and excitement while exploring the collection. Leveraging cutting-edge JavaScript animations and advanced 3D assets, the site seamlessly combines storytelling and technology to showcase Ruroc's helmets. Each product is highlighted with vivid details, allowing riders to explore both the style and safety features of the helmets in a truly engaging way. Designed with riders in mind, the site emphasizes Ruroc’s commitment to providing stylish, high-performance helmets that ensure safety on the slopes. The e-commerce platform integrates storytelling to help users make informed decisions while experiencing the thrill of snowboarding or skiing in the digital world.

As of its date of completion, this project stands as the most complex and intricate within my portfolio. Astrophysics has perpetually captivated my fascination, presenting the most compelling question since the dawn of human consciousness: understanding the nature of the universe and existence itself. Central to this endeavor a theory I have coined, The Hyper-Regeneration Theory of Quantum Infinity - a digital odyssey delving into the very essence of existence. Employing the dynamic capabilities of Three.js and Gsap libraries, this project epitomizes what we colloquially term 'scrollytelling' in the industry. As you scroll through the page, a mesmerizing narrative unfurls, seamlessly intertwining through space and time.
